Take a Yr.10,11 or 12 Gap Year (Reboot your brain. Look at a new pathway.) an adventure cruise at sea or Join us on the Murray River with our College. Learn new things. Develop new skills. Meet new people. See new places. Have fun with safe friends and our "good time" teaching team.

Students negotiate their own learning program on enrolment for a minimum of 10 weeks (one term), go a full year or hang in there with us.

You might want a part-time job for extra cash when you do more study.

Academy GAP year experience is a fun way of getting skills and a good reference. You might even become a better, more confident person and blow away bad thoughts.

  • Boating activities - are you a boating person?
    • Boat hand, Boat Licence, assistant crew = seatime
    • Marine Radio operator Certificate
    • Provide First Aid
    • Cert.II Coxswain 1+ Seatime = commercial ticket
    • Cert.III in Outdoor Recreation - Canoeing /Kayaking/sailing/snorkelling 
    • Start your Duke of Edinburgh award (a great addition for resume)
  • Cert.III in Outdoor Recreation, Resorts and Care services on the ships - these are all good for cash jobs in future study time.

    • Bar skills
    • Foodservice skills
    • Housekeeping
    • Disability/aged care skills
    • Start your Duke of Edinburgh award (a highly respected addition to your resume)
